Every great craft has a humble beginning.
In 1982, our father set out each day with a shoulder pole, balancing 40 to 50 bags on each end, walking street by street to sell his wares. It was not just a livelihood — it was a declaration of dedication, a man who believed that a well-made bag could change someone's day.
In 2007, we picked up where he left off — and gave it a new direction.
From a shoulder pole in 1982 to a studio serving global clients in Chengdu, the craftsmanship has continued to evolve, but the commitment has never been interrupted.
Who We Are
We established Sichuan Xuanjiuyi Trading Co., Ltd. in 2014 and Oakisma Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong in 2023 to sell our products globally. We are a bag making studio rooted in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, with a global perspective. We are registered in China and the United States, combining the spirit of traditional craftsmanship with the ambition of modern borderless brands.
We handcraft bags for customers around the world — from canvas totes and nylon backpacks to full-grain leather goods, PU bags, briefcases, and travel luggage. Each piece is made with intention, built to be carried, lived in, and remembered.
